Sawyer is the proud owner of his first tooth!! If you look hard enough, you will see it in that top picture. Actually, he has two now, but I digress… New teeth mean new foods, and he’s getting a pretty good start on some of my favorites. There was no doubt he would be an applesauce lover, but it’s encouraging to see he shares my love for fried potatoes and my disdain for bananas!!

Erika, Sawyer, and I were blessed to have the opportunity to spend this past weekend in the beauty of the mountains. The bottom picture records the little guy’s first time in the river. We finally pulled him out when his lips started turning blue, but he would’ve been happy to stay in the water all day!!

Sawyer made his first trip to the beach, and, wow, does he like sand!! As you can see, he had no problem plunging head-first into the tide when Daddy was occupied elsewhere. From a parental standpoint, I would admit that we were a bit overwhelmed…but I don’t think we would be the first to feel that way!! The main thing is that everyone had a blast, and nobody is worse because of it. In fact, I think Sawyer has already penciled us in for a beach trip next summer!!

On a different note…I want to apologize for the lack of posts lately. You may have noticed that the website was in and out of commission this past month. We changed hosts a couple of times over that period, but everything should be back to normal now. Hopefully, you will be able to count on me to provide new content on a more regular basis.
